CALHOUN COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) – A death investigation is underway in Calhoun County, after a man was killed while hog hunting with a friend Saturday morning.

The coroner has confirmed the victim has been identified as Charles Holley, 50, of Panama City, Florida.

WALB was told the incident happened about a mile or more back in the woods, near Commissary Hall in Calhoun Co. on Saturday, March 23.

The Department of Natural Resources confirms the incident is under investigation by their Critical Incident Reconstruction Team, and that Holley was shot by the other hunter.

An autopsy will be conducted at the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) Crime Lab.
